40k Space Marines: Assault Intercessors

If you're looking for a melee unit for your Space Marines, the Assault Intercessors are a very practical starting point. The set contains ten multipart plastic miniatures, providing a solid foundation for Warhammer 40.000. Players who want to make their army more mobile and aggressive often choose a unit like this. The set is also interesting for Collectors because it showcases the typical Space Marines look in an active squad formation.

Many buyers first look for a unit in Space Marines that easily fits into an army while also being tactically effective. That is exactly what the Assault Intercessors deliver, as they have a clear role in close combat. Compared to specialized models, they remain pleasantly accessible without being boring. For a Warhammer 40,000 project, this is often the more sensible choice than a set designed for a very specific purpose. This way, the army can be developed flexibly.

The Assault Intercessors unit is exciting for Collectors because it showcases Space Marines in a modern and dynamic form. Those who organize their Collection by troop types often need exactly these basic units to neatly complete a faction roster. The ten models provide enough substance for this without making the project overwhelming. Especially in a Space Marines Collection, such a set often feels like an essential building block rather than just an additional purchase.

On the battlefield, Assault Intercessors are especially useful when you want to give your army close combat presence. They are well suited for players who want to use Space Marines not just defensively but actively bring them into the heart of the action. This set is therefore a good choice for Warhammer 40.000 battles where you are looking for a reliable unit with a direct focus. With ten models, you can easily integrate the squad into an existing list.

The Assault Intercessors work both as a supplement and as a starting point. If you are just beginning with Space Marines, you get a straightforward unit that is easy to paint and bring into the game. If your army is already established, the set sensibly complements your existing models with a different role. It is this versatility that makes the kit so attractive to many Warhammer fans. It is not too specialized, but clearly defined.

The set includes ten multipart Assault Intercessor miniatures as well as ten 32-millimeter bases. The models come unpainted and unassembled, so you can build them in your own style. This is convenient for hobbyists because you assemble the unit step by step and later integrate it specifically into your Space Marines army. This creates a typical Warhammer project that works both in construction and on the tabletop.

Compared to classic Tactical Squads, Assault Intercessors are more mobile and focused on close combat. If you’re looking for a more flexible fire base, another squad might be a better fit. But if you want a unit that actively pushes forward in your Warhammer 40.000 army, Assault Intercessors are often the more obvious choice. This difference is especially important for Space Marines Players because it directly influences the playstyle.

The Assault Intercessors are suitable for players who want to enhance their Space Marines with close combat strength, as well as for collectors looking for typical faction models. Beginners also benefit from having a clearly understandable troop set for their first or next project. Those who want to not only collect Warhammer 40.000 but actually play it will find a solid foundation here. The set is simple enough for beginners and useful enough for experienced armies.
