One Piece OP18 The Dominance of God: All the information about the new set

One Piece OP18 The Dominance of God: Alle Infos zum neuen Set

One Piece OP18 The Dominance of God is the next major main set of the One Piece Card Game and brings several themes and characters into the game that fans have been waiting for for some time. The focus includes Water Seven, Franky, and the God's Knights, the Knights of God from the current One Piece story.

OP18 is particularly exciting because the Japanese and English versions are being released very close to each other. The set name essentially remains the same. In Japan, the designation 神の支配 – Kami no Shihai is also used, which corresponds to the English title The Dominance of God.

In this article, you will get a concise overview of One Piece OP18, the cards and characters confirmed so far, the differences between Japanese and English Displays, and the most important information for Collectors and Players.

What is One Piece OP18 The Dominance of God?

The Dominance of God is the 18th main set of the One Piece Card Game. OP18 was unveiled as part of One Piece Day 2026 and continues various themes from the card game while also bringing new characters and strategies to the TCG.

Two key focuses are currently particularly clear. On the one hand, there is Water Seven with characters such as Franky and Nico Robin. On the other hand, the God's Knights are moving more into the spotlight. As a result, characters such as Saint Gunko and Saint Shamrock are receiving their own cards in the One Piece TCG for the first time or in particularly prominent roles.

With OP18, one of the most popular older story arcs of One Piece is combined with characters from much newer developments in the manga's story. This exact combination makes the set interesting for both long-time fans and current One Piece readers.

According to the product information currently released, OP18 is expected to include 126 card types plus one DON!! card. Various Parallel and Alternate-Art versions are also included, but these are not counted as separate base cards.

Franky finally gets his own Leader card

One of the biggest highlights of OP18 is Franky. Although the Straw Hat crew's shipwright has been an important character in the One Piece Card Game for years, The Dominance of God gives him his own Leader card for the first time.

Franky appears as a green/purple Leader and is thematically strongly connected to Water Seven. This is particularly interesting for Players because a new Leader always opens up new possibilities for Deck building and existing cards. Cards from older sets can suddenly become more relevant if they work well with the new Franky Leader.

The card is also interesting for Collectors. The first Leader card of a popular member of the Straw Hat crew is a special piece within the One Piece TCG, regardless of the later meta.

Water Seven returns in OP18

With Franky, Water Seven is also returning more prominently to the One Piece Card Game. For many fans, the Water-Seven and Enies Lobby section is one of the strongest parts of the entire series. Characters such as Franky, Nico Robin, and the Straw Hat crew therefore offer a great deal of potential for new cards and special illustrations.

One of the cards already revealed is Nico Robin OP18-031. Her special Manga version is receiving a particularly large amount of attention. Robin is closely connected to the Water-Seven and Enies Lobby storylines, making the choice of a particularly rare Collectors card a very good fit for the theme of OP18.

Which other Water-Seven cards will ultimately be part of the set will be revealed with the upcoming reveals. Even now, however, it is clear that OP18 not only focuses on modern characters but also brings an important classic One Piece Arc back to the TCG.

The God's Knights are coming to the One Piece Card Game

The second major focus of OP18 The Dominance of God is the God's Knights, often referred to in German as the Knights of God. This group plays an important role in the more recent developments of the One Piece story and, with OP18, is receiving a greater dedicated focus in the Card game for the first time.

Among those already revealed are Saint Gunko and Saint Shamrock. Gunko receives both a Leader card and additional card variants. This gives the One Piece TCG a new theme that clearly differs from the established pirate crews and Marine decks.

It is not yet possible to make a final assessment of exactly how the God's Knights will develop in terms of gameplay and what synergies they will gain with one another. Too many cards are still missing for that. However, the theme should be particularly interesting for deck builders because it introduces a largely new archetype.

Yoshitaka Amano draws Loki and Saint Shamrock

For Collectors, one announcement stands out as one of OP18's biggest highlights: Yoshitaka Amano created special illustrations for cards from The Dominance of God. Amano is known worldwide primarily for his work on Final Fantasy and his distinctive illustration style.

For the One Piece Card Game, he contributed illustrations for Loki and Saint Shamrock. Loki is a special new variant of the Secret Rare card already known from OP17. Saint Shamrock, on the other hand, receives a new card numbered OP18-119.

Such guest illustrations are particularly interesting for Collectors because they stand out clearly from a set's usual artwork style. The Amano cards are therefore likely to be among the designs followed particularly closely in OP18.

Nico Robin as a special Collectors highlight

Alongside the Amano cards, Nico Robin is currently one of the most eye-catching cards in OP18. Her special version revisits her Water Seven and Enies Lobby story, combining one of the character's most iconic moments with a rare Collectors card.

This makes OP18 particularly interesting for Robin fans. At the same time, it fits perfectly with the set's Water Seven focus and provides a good counterpoint to the newer God's Knights cards.

Which card will ultimately become the biggest Chase Card from The Dominance of God cannot be determined reliably before Release. Nico Robin, the Amano illustrations, and special variants of the new Leaders are currently among the cards attracting particularly strong attention from Collectors.

Japanese or English OP18?

For One Piece cards, many Collectors wonder whether they would rather open Japanese or English products. With OP18, both versions are released during the same Release period, making the decision more dependent on their own collecting goals.

The Japanese format is more compact. A Japanese Booster contains 6 cards, while a complete Booster Display consists of 24 Booster packs. Japanese One Piece cards are popular with Collectors partly because of their original Language and often more affordable Booster Displays.

The English set is aimed more at Players in Europe and collectors of English cards. An English Booster contains 12 cards, and a Booster Box also contains 24 Booster packs. As a result, an English Booster Display contains significantly more cards overall than the Japanese version.

Which version is better depends on what you are looking for. If you collect One Piece in Japanese and want to stay as close to the original as possible, the Japanese edition is interesting. If you want to play with the cards or expand your English One Piece TCG Collection, the English OP18 set is usually the obvious choice.

Which products are available for One Piece OP18?

Currently, cardcosmos offers two products for The Dominance of God. For fans of Japanese One Piece cards, there is the OP18 The Dominance of God Booster Display Japanese. It contains 24 Booster packs with 6 cards each.

Those who collect English cards or want to play with their cards can find the OP18 The Dominance of God Booster Display English. This also contains 24 Booster packs, each with 12 cards.

For both versions, certain Secret Rares, Parallel Cards, or other special cards naturally cannot be guaranteed. Which variant suits you better therefore depends less on individual possible pulls and more on which language you collect or play in.

How large is the OP18 set?

According to the currently published product data, The Dominance of God is set to consist of 126 card types plus one DON!! card. The distribution is listed as 6 Leaders, 45 Common, 30 Uncommon, 26 Rare, 10 Super Rare, 2 Secret Rare, 6 Special Cards, and one Treasure Rare.

There are also Alternate Arts and various Parallel versions. These variants in particular are often the biggest collecting highlights in the One Piece Card Game and are counted in addition to the standard card total.

Not all six Leaders and not all cards have been fully revealed yet. The spoiler phase for OP18 is therefore likely to bring some more surprises in the coming weeks.

Who is One Piece OP18 interesting for?

The Dominance of God appeals to several groups at once. Fans of the Straw Hat crew finally get a new Leader with Franky and a strong collector's piece with Nico Robin. Fans of current One Piece developments get the God's Knights and characters such as Saint Gunko and Saint Shamrock.

For Collectors, the special artworks are especially interesting. Yoshitaka Amano's illustrations, the rare Nico Robin card, and upcoming parallel versions give OP18 a clear collector focus even before the complete card list is available.

Franky is particularly exciting for Players. A new green/purple Leader could enable new decks while also making older cards relevant again. However, the actual strength of the God's Knights and the other strategies will only become clear once the complete set is known.

Why some caution is still important with early OP18 information

OP18 will not be released until November 2026, and the complete card list has not yet been published. Therefore, you should be cautious about alleged pull rates, final chase cards, or complete deck lists.

However, key elements such as the title The Dominance of God, Franky as a Leader, the Water Seven focus, the God's Knights, and the special illustrations centered around Loki and Saint Shamrock have already been confirmed or officially revealed.

At cardcosmos, November 20, 2026 is currently listed as the planned Release date for both the Japanese and English Booster Display. If Bandai changes the date, it may of course be postponed accordingly.

The Dominance of God combines Water Seven with the God's Knights

One Piece OP18 The Dominance of God brings an exciting mix to the One Piece Card Game. Water Seven and familiar characters such as Franky and Nico Robin meet the God's Knights and newer characters from the current One Piece story.

Franky's first Leader card, Nico Robin's special collector's version, and Yoshitaka Amano's illustrations already give OP18 several clear highlights. At the same time, enough remains unknown to make keeping an eye on the upcoming card reveals worthwhile.

Whether you collect One Piece OP18 in Japanese or the English version of The Dominance of God depends primarily on your personal preferences. Both versions cover the same set, but differ in language and booster contents. For Collectors and Players, OP18 is set to be one of the most interesting One Piece TCG sets toward the end of 2026.
