The new Disney Lorcana set “Unbekannte Wildnis”

Disney Lorcana Unbekannte Wildnis marks the beginning of a new chapter in Ravensburger's popular trading card game. The set is being released as the series' twelfth main release and once again brings numerous new cards to the game, featuring Pixar characters for the first time. The set will be released on 15 May 2026, with Prerelease taking place one week earlier, on 08 May 2026.

The set's central motto is “Stay Together”. In the set's story, various glimmers embark on a dangerous journey through unknown landscapes to find their way back home together. This idea is also reflected in the gameplay. New card combinations and strategies reward cooperation and clever deck planning.

For Players, this primarily means one thing: more possibilities for Deck building and new tactical options in the game.

New Disney and Pixar characters in the set

One of the greatest strengths of Disney Lorcana is its iconic characters. In the Unbekannte Wildnis set, too, fans can look forward to familiar faces and new ones.

The following characters can already be seen in the first card previews, among others:

Buzz Lightyear
The Queen
Mrs. Incredible
Jack-Jack Parr

This makes it clear: for the first time, classic Disney characters are meeting characters from the Pixar worlds. The integration of characters from Toy Story and The Incredibles is particularly exciting, as they are appearing in the Lorcana universe for the first time.

Cards like these are often highlights of a set, especially for Collectors. New illustrations, alternative versions of familiar characters, and rare cards make every Booster Display an exciting journey of discovery.

A look at the first cards from the preview

The first images from the card preview already give a good impression of where the set is headed.

What is particularly striking is how dynamically the new cards are designed. The illustrations evoke adventure, nature, and dangerous environments. This fits the theme of the unknown wilderness perfectly.

For Players, this also means:

new synergies between characters
fresh strategies for existing Decks
exciting combinations of different Ink colors
more possibilities for creative Deck ideas

Especially in competitive Lorcana Decks, individual new cards can quickly influence the meta. That's why many Players closely follow every card preview from an early stage.

Which products will be released for the set?

As with every new Lorcana Release, several products will also be released for Unbekannte Wildnis. They are aimed at both Players and Collectors.

Lorcana Booster Display “Unbekannte Wildnis”

The Lorcana Booster Display is the centerpiece of every set for many Players. In a display, you'll find several Booster packs with random cards from the new expansion.

A Booster Display is perfect if you:

want to expand your Collection
are looking for new cards for your Deck
want to draw rare cards
want to open Boosters together with friends

Especially when a new set is released, opening Boosters is a real highlight for many fans.

Lorcana Illumineers Trove for the set

In addition to Boosters, there will also be a matching Lorcana Collector box for the set. Such boxes usually contain a mix of Booster packs and Accessories.

They are ideal for Players who want to store their cards safely or keep their Collection organized. At the same time, they offer a great way to open several Boosters from the new set at once.

Why a Lorcana Preorder is worthwhile

New Lorcana sets are often sold out quickly, especially shortly after Release. That's why many Collectors and Players secure their products early.

If you want to secure Booster displays or Collector boxes, a Lorcana Preorder is worthwhile for several reasons:

You get products directly at Release
You won't miss any new cards
You can start experimenting with new decks early
You secure Displays before they sell out

At the cardcosmos Shop, you can already pre-order the products from the upcoming Disney Lorcana Sets . This way, you'll be there right from the set's launch and can expand your Collection.

New strategies for Lorcana Players

With each new Lorcana set, the game changes somewhat. New cards bring fresh ideas and sometimes even reshape entire deck strategies.

Combinations between different characters and Ink colors are what make Disney Lorcana so appealing. The upcoming set could particularly strengthen the following playstyles:

team-oriented card abilities
stronger character synergies
new options for aggressive or controlling decks
strategic combinations with older sets

For many Players, the fun begins long before the actual Release. Deck ideas are tested, card lists discussed, and new strategies planned.

Disney Lorcana remains one of the most exciting TCGs
